Home | Markleeville Poker Run 2008
The first annual Markleeville Poker Run was a great success. Over 200
people attended the event. Thanks to all who participated. A big
thanks goes to all those businesses and persons that donated raffle prizes to
the event. All of the money generated from these donations went the
"Alpine Kids". Also, thank you to the members and prospects who worked
their asses off making this event happen. Our president had a fight with a
chain saw and was pretty much confined to a wheelchair. The members and
prospects did an outstanding job of setting up the grounds, working the event,
and cleaning it up. Fritz was able to sit in his wheelchair and collect
money for beer and t-shirts rather than run around like a chicken with his head
cut off! Again thanks to everyone that helped and those who participated
in the event. We look forward to doing it again next year.
